Promise This : Cheryl Cole
Cheryl Cole's new single "Promise This" was premiered just moments ago on BBC' Radio One - The Wayne Wilkins production (Jordin Sparks, Shontelle) serves as the lead cut from Cheryl's upcoming sophomore album which hits stores later in 2010. Very catchy song! And its production is quite formidable. It has a bit of everything, drums, piano, synths and some Pac-man like beats lol. BTW, if you're wondering what that random language chanting is, a DL reader has informed me it's a sample from a popular French children's song called "Alouette". I like "Promise This" and I'm 100% convinced it'll go straight to #1 when it's released. However, I have to say "Fight For This Love" remains as Cheryl's best "first single" offering. It'll be a tough task for the British star to come up with something better than that classic pop tune. But I'll give her the benefit of the doubt as she may have an ace up her sleeve on her upcominb second album. "Promise This" will be released on October 25th in the UK, and what better promotion could she give the single than performing the song at The X Factor's live show of that week.Cheryl Cole - Promise This Video

Cheryl Cole - Promise This Lyrics and Video
Alouette-ette-ette
Alouette-ette-ette
Alouette-ette-ette
In the beginning, there was nothing,
so empty, in the space between.
Then you came in, turned the lights on
and created what has came to be.
Before I, blow your wind, come with me please.
Spread your wings, come with me, yeah.
Promise this, if I die before I wake
Oh, promise this...
